About The Client

Sustainable Ocean Alliance is an organization based in the heart of Silicon Valley in San Francisco led by Daniela V. Fernandez and her dream team. Daniela was named 2019’s Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Friends of Ocean Action.

In alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal Number 14, established during the Paris Agreement to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development, SOA creates solutions to the ocean’s largest threats through two programs. The Ocean Solutions Accelerator and the Ocean Leadership program.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

GOAL

Our scope included concepting and planning all creative content for Sustainable Ocean Alliance social media platforms including execution. Also creating and overseeing all paid media campaigns. Working with and overseeing a creative team of freelancers to complete all marketing deliverables including 2019 Communications & Media Plan and planning, executing and managing Davos, EarthX & SXSW Social Media Campaigns. Overseeing Social Media Strategy and all content creation and updates across all platforms.

EXECUTION

phocus started with developing a modern and functional aesthetic for SOA’s social media content - a completely new look for 2019. Things kicked off with Daniela going to Davos in Switzerland and the SOA IG page receiving over 20,000+ views in one week! We created several custom content peices including motion graphics content for social platforms. Constantly engaging with the right and relevant audiences building visibility and traction across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIN.

RESULT

phocus managed to double the Instagram following and the LinkedIN following in ONE MONTH! Using premier content strategy and hashtag strategy and authentic engagement. Paid Media campaign is ongoing till end of May 2019.
